Unable to do LDAP binding to AD using old a/c

March 1, 2010 at 02:06:49
Specs: Windows Server 2003
I am trying to use LDAP
authentication with active directory in my
web apps. It works when authenticating
with ad user accounts which are created
recently.

However, I got "Invalid Credentials" Error
49 when I tried to use those accounts
which were created long time ago.

What should I do now???

Are you sure the credentials for the old user is still valid? Test it by trying to login to the domain. Perhaps it has a password policy applied to it by accident.

Thanks for your tips. I have found out that those old user accounts
has the Logon workstation restriction set. It works if the user is
allowed to log on to all computers.

However I still want to restrict the workstation access, but I don't
know the workstation name for ldap connection. I am using php's
ldap. The web server's host name does not work....

Fixed: The domain controller host name can do. Thanks!
