Hello this is my first post. I would like to share a folder and have clients connected to it, but I don't want the clients to see these file. What I am trying to do is give them access to the database but I don't want them to be able to copy them or delete them?
Thanks in advance....

Installing the database client usually takes care of all of this.

You would need to describe the database, what platform its on and what you use to access it now.

It is an application that builds its own database and runs off it. I don't know what platform it is. The way it is set up now is through a workgroup and on each computer there is a shortcut to the .exe file. I know I have to share the folder where it is but I don't want anyone to see or those files. I am trying to prevent any one from copying those files and such. I have set up the domain controller and the file server but when I share that folder then everyone can see it.

Any documentation with the application? Otherwise you are going to have to test with all rights and take one away at a time to see when clients can't access the application or the app doesn't work.
