Share a group of users between 2 ADs?

October 1, 2010 at 07:01:50
Specs: Windows Server 2003
I got two Active Directory on two remote Windows Server 2003.
They are supposed to share a group of users.

I've managed to do the trust between them, but I have not managed to make a gruop that exists in both domains.

Anyone know how to do this and would like to help me with some suggestions?

What type of trust did you create?

You may have better luck using one AD database, and then configuring one as a primary controller and the second site as a backup DC to sync AD changes to and from the PDC

OhNo there is no shared group between two domains or in your case forests. That is not how trusts work. You have existing users in one forest via the trust you assign those users to the other forest's group you want them to access that forest's resources.

Perhaps this will get you started
