Backup system recovery wasnt connecting. tried to restart a service and said could not stop service. the service is stuck on stopping.
I thought you said this was working fine?
There should be an event viewer error related to this. Can you post it?
The CSN5PDTS82x64 NDIS Protocol Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
Is this the same SBS with the backup issue?
Did you do a search of the entire drive for this file?
This is a different system. The search did not find it.
Install Colasoft Capsa software? You searched for CSN5PDTS82*.*? There should be a .sys file
Colasoft Capsa 7 already installed.
Yeah found sys file after second search.
That driver is associated with that software. Might search the software cd and copy the file to the system32/driver folder where it belongs. This raises the question of how did it become missing.
But the software is working fine tho why would that effect the backup service.
The software appears to be doing an overlay of the ndis driver. I responded to the error you posted. Why do you think this error is related to backup not working?
Is this a local backup [backup device is attached to this server]?
Specific failure error? What got the SBS backup working again?
You now also have a NAS network access issue.
Can you describe your topology? How everything connects to each other.
