Server allow privleges for Remote mmc tool?

Specs: Windows XP Pro
Can I do this? Is there a similar app that will do it?

We need to run reports offsite. I would rather use the remote desktop mmc addin for this and allow users who need to use it.

I run into the error that it cannot run because of privileges, blah blah. I want it to keep a "run as", but even then I get the error for not running scripts of this nature, blah blah again.

Suggestions? Ideas?

I'm learning.

Remote desktop in administration mode only allows administrators to connect. This is something you would never allow users to do.

You would need to be in terminal server mode and have the right number of TS/RDP cals for users to access the server as you desire.

might want to present the information around this "printing reports offsite" is about since there are a number of security and access issues that have to be addressed to make this happen.

I have investigated this a bit. I could use remote through the browser. This would make it simpler.

However, in response to you .... The system is a gate access. I need reports for entry and activity. I need to be able to do this from two other computers as the variables of the reporting and the output are split between two employees.

This is a nonprofit, so the solution needs to be very low in cost - so my time only if possible.

Does this help you to help me gather some options?

I have no idea what a gate access means. Like a gated community with a passcard to open the gate for access?

Where are the workstations in relation to this system like on the same lan? How do you physically access?

Biometric scanning to enter a building and release the gate. This is the problem, there is not a server onsite for the branch. They have a workgroup established - cost is a big factor here - and there is a router with a vpn.

The vpn routes back to the server where I have each branch included in the routing table now. I do have access to everyone through rdp/terminal.

However, the limitations of the report features within the software that manages the "gates" prohibits any automation. There must be a user logged on at that terminal in order to run the report, thus RDP connections. I access each gate's computer at each branch through the computer management tools' remote snap-in. I want to have these reports run off-site by the individuals who need this activity data. So ...

I wanted to use something like I use - some sort of application - I found so far that I could setup each rdp to run in ie and use shortcuts in favorites to log into remote computers, join session, run the reports, and get back out. So far, this is the most economical and easiest solution.

Looking for ideas :)
