No bootable file

Specs: Windows 7
cant boot win2003 server on startup
reason for that is that i want to format my laptop.
but when i restart the laptop and set boot from cd option in DOS
there is no response

please any help

its not recommended to run a server OS on a laptop. Usually a laptop doesn't have enough horse power.

You set the boot order in the bios to cd/dvd first then hard drive.

You should see a message upon boot up 'strike any key to boot from cd'

This assumes the cd you have is bootable. If in doubt test it in another machine.
