Microsoft Exchange server enterprise 200...

we have a shared folder that almost everyone in our company uses throughout the day. when we think we have completed a job we will move the file for that company from the pending folder to the sold folder. My problem is this, if i choose to move a folder it will let me start the move but if a user is in the file, it will stop mid way. now i've got files in both places. I would like to be able to get some kind of notice before i reach this step. is there anything out there that will warn a user before hand that someone is already using a file in that folder. thanks.

Does the file open as read only when someone already has it opened? If it does, that's your clue.
