Specs: Windows XP
I have 2 users that need remote access to a group of servers. what would be the best way of doing this besides making them domain admins.

Have them rdp to worksations on the lan set for this use.

you would need to forward rdp port 3389 to one pc and then on the other you need to change the rdp listening port to 3390 and foward that port to the other pc.

Hamachi, logmein and teamviewer are other alternatives.

I would never let them rdp to the server as domain admins.

You could make them server operators or add them to the remote desktop users group.

because the servers are working only in remote support mode and not in TS mode they had to be members of the administrators group to remotely login. As such i made a group in AD , made the users members and made that group a member of the local admin group on the servers. once i want to remove access from the users all i will need to do is remove the users from the group.

Bad choice. Hopefully they won't trash the server.
