Increase packets

Specs: Windows XP
Hi,

I been wanting to increase the speed of the data sent by my windows 2003 Standard server. If one is downloading through ftp the download speed is drastically faster. For example FTP will download at 800 KB/s while http will download at 200-250 KB/s.

Is there anyway to configure the server to send more packets? If I was to open up more then 1 http connection I am cable to get 800 KB/s via http. However I want the speed to be as fast a possible through one connection.

Does anyone have any possible solutions to this? Or can someone direct me somewhere, where I can possibly get some help?

When you don't get an answer this usually indicates there is not an answer available.

You have no control over packets or even what is sent at that level of the OSI model.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
