How to make server update multiple computers each night

Microsoft Windows 2003 server - 5 users
March 6, 2012 at 13:37:34
Specs: MS Windows Server 2003 "R2" Standard 32-bit SP2, Intel Xeon E5420 @ 2.50GHz 45 °C/4.00 GB FB-DDR2 @ 332MHz
The server is not updating the computers in the office every night, but rather someone must go to each computer individually and update it manually. I would appreciate any help on how to fix the server to update all of the computers each night.

Update what? If you mean Windows Updates then you need to set up an WSUS server and point your client computers to it (Group Policy is the easiest way to do this). Further details can be found by Googling WSUS.

If you mean something else, then tell us what you are trying to update.

Yes, our main concern would be updating windows but an added benefit would be updating quickbooks as well. Would the process for that be similar or far more difficult?

I believe that you can add your own updates to a WSUS server, but it's not something I've ever done. If you Google WSUS you should find quite a bit of information.
