Specs: Windows server 2003, 3 GHz / 1535 MB
i'm trying to replace my old harddrive with a larger one. But after transferring all the data i faced a critical problem. The problem is i cannot clone my system drive which is win server 2003. i don't wanna do a fresh install because that will cost a lot of time to reinstall all the programs running. i tried norton ghost but failed. it said it had something to do with drive lock failure. so if someone can help me cloning my system drive that would be a great help.

Advance thanks.

You aren't trying to image the drive while the OS is actually up and running are you?

If yes, try it with the OS shut down (as in boot to a floppy or CD with ghost on it).

If that doesn't work, try another imaging application.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the captain of my soul.

Most cloning software only does workstations for free. You have to pay for software that does servers. Acronis for example
