Help with DNS conf

Specs: Windows 2003 Server
Ok,

I need some help. I am trying to build a home
server/client environment. I have Virtualbox on
my windows 7 which has windows 2003
server. My router has my dhcp. I only want my
Win 2003 server to have file sharing and such
for now. My question is what are the exact
conf/address I need for this setup. my current
config is this.

Server IP - 192.168.1.8
Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.1.1
Perferred DNS - 127.0.0.1

My domain name is just TestDomain.local

I can't get my clients to see my domain, let
alone ping its address!!

What exactly am I doing wrong?

the server and workstations should point to 192.168.1.8
for dns not the loopback ip

Yeah, So I found out the reason. I setup my "virtual server" on a
bridge, BUT somehow was turned back to NAT. So, I flipped that
back and bingo bango...All set.
