Specs: Windows 2003 R2
Hello,
I have "HP Storageworks 1510i Modular Smart Array", i have created drives on that array and i am trying to access that drive and create folder from other computer. The storage array and my computer are in same domain. But when i try to access the drive on storage array from my system it is not showing the storage array in the list of all computers in that domain. Can anyone please tell me what the problem is? What are the things required to check inorder to work this properly?

First, ensure that it is compatible with your server:

From what I can tell about this device, it does not appear to be a NAS in its self. To use it as a NAS (Use the storage with Windows File Sharing), you have to connect it to a compatible server, and then access the drives thru that server.

Hi conjur,
Thanks for reply. But what question i have is i am able to access other drives on same array but particularly i am not able to access some drives on that array. Do you think is that a permission issue, sharing problem or is there is anything else problem with that??

I have around 5 drives c,f,d,g,h,i. And i can access the drives with \\servername\\drivename. But when i use browse button to access the drives i am unable to see those drives. I am trying to access it using my application. But i am not understanding that why am not able to access one of the two drives where both drives are on same array? Or is it such that "HP Storageworks 1510i Modular Smart Array" doesnot support 2003 sp2. Bcoz according to compatibilty prospective user manual says this HP storage array supports server 2003 32-bit. Is this the issue??

"I have around 5 drives c,f,d,g,h,i. '

You did not raid the drives. New to this stuff? You have no drive failover which is the whole point of a raid array.

"when i use browse button to access the drives i am unable to see those drives."

Means you didn't share something on the drives. You need to do so to browse to them.
