You setup shares on a 2003 Server the same way you do on Workgroup computers. You right click the folder -> select properties -> use the share tab. As for disabling shares what do you mean by this. Do you want to limit user access so only specific logons can get to them or just turn off the share. If the latter you do it the same way you turn them on.

Here my question is how can I disable the open shares in wndows 2k3 server. for eg; Suppose if we got to a desktop machine and from 'Run' we type the particular server IP as (\\xx.xx.xx.xx) and once we hit enter, the sytem will map a open share. Already I had removed (Admin$, C$ & D$) Only IPC$ is shared. Pls let me know any clue on this. Thanks
