Windows Server 2003 problem: When copying a folder with more than a few small files in it over to a mapped drive on the network, say from Server A to Server B, Server A gives the following error “Cannot copy [Filename]: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.”
This errors occurs when trying to copy folders with an automated script (both VBscript and Windows batch file), or by copying the files manually (dragging and dropping), and is not limited to a certain user (any user logged in on Server A trying to copy files to Server B gets this error).
I don’t think this is a problem with the mapped drive on Server B, because I can copy to the exact same mapped folder on Server B from another computer ("Server C").
In addition, on Server A I can map another drive on Server C and copy the same directory fine.
Anyone know how to resolve this issue? Thanks!
review your event viewer logs on that server for service startup errors.
