Applying computer settings takes too long

Specs: Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition
Hi, I'm a new user here and I don´t know if something like that happens before. I have an enclosure HP c3000 with a blade server bl460c G6. I made a firmware update recently to the latest firmware version. Since then, the message "Applying computer settings..." appear for at least an hour, then, when I finally get the place to write my username and password the message reappears for at least another hour. I checked for those APC services but I haven´t, I checked for an out-of-date file named ofant.sys (Microsoft tech support suggestion) but nothing, I checked for HP services, I disabled all of them, but nothing changes. I'm able to enter in Safe Mode, but when I restart my server the problem is still there.

If anybody can help me, I will be very very happy. Thanks a lot for your time and patience.

if you come up in safe mode is it fast?

Why did you apply a firmware patch? What was it you were trying to fix at the time?

Hi, thanks for your answer, I apply the firmware update because I apply a general update to the enclosure due to the time since the last firmware update was made. But I made a downgrade to the previous firmware version and nothing happens.

And I have no problem wih safe mode, it is fast.

if safe mode is fast then its something that is being loaded when not in safe mode that is the issue.

Start with review your event viewer logs for clues to apps/services not starting/having issues.
