Specs: Windows XP
Hi all,

I'd like to setup a dns server (service) in my windows2003 and hosting the ip address and domain name(eg. www.getyou.com) in the server.

I've found a lot of guides over the intenet. It just says about internal ip, not about the domain and real ip.

Could someone provide any guides or steps? I appreciate it.

I think you would be best served by having your site hosted by a reputable hosting company. Hosting an internet website is serious business and not a job for a beginner. You don't need a guide, you need to do some serious study first.

There are two parts; one is talking to your isp to get a registered dns name and then having them point that name to your wan ip [need a static wan ip or use dyndns]
The second part is configuring your web server and opening your firewall ports to allow access to the web hosting content.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
