Extracts the certificate from the smart card.Calculates the certificates SHA1 hash. Use the Credential Manager APIs to convert the SHA1 hash to a marshaled credential.
Pass the marshaled credential (as a username) to any API that accepts username and password (PIN). So LogonUser, CreateProcessWithLogonW, WNetAddConnection2, etc will work

This all depends on the Hardware and Software that came with your Smart Card system.

I would call the manufacture of the smart card system's tech support to get further help.

I personally never used them because cards get lost or forgotten and bio metrics is a way easier way to go.
