When installing Window 2000, after it copies and etc.' it asks to remove disk in drive A and restart. Nothing is in Dr. A, so I remove the CD and reboot. The system stops booting with an error msg. like ERROR FINDING OPERATING SYSTEM'. I expect the system to find he harddrive after a few seconds and continue booting, like XP Pro does at instalation, but stays frozen at the error. If I keep the install CD in the drive, it just starts to install from the beginning. I'm in a loop"
Are you installing to a SATA hard drive?
I am installing to an IDE drive, which I have done successfully before as I modify my computer.
It has been a long time since I installed Win2000. That said, I think you need to leave the CD in place but NOT hit any key to install the second time around. Do you have more than one hard drive installed in that computer?
Are you installing any version of RAID?
