You need to give some more specs about the machine; manufacturer, model, motherboard (if possible) and type of RAM originally installed and type currently installed...

Go to and run their online scan tool to determine how much and what type/size RAM your computer can use.

Evidently the module you have installed is not compatible with your system.

The motherboard/chipset determines how much of the RAM is seen & used, not the CPU. We need to know more about your system, make/model of the motherboard & the type of RAM you're working with. Also, how much RAM did you have before you started messing with it & how much are you attempting to install? If you only had 64MB, that's not nearly enough to run XP. And the fact that you even mentioned 64MB is an indication of old system, probably running SDR memory (PC100 or PC133).
