HELP....PLEASE
WHEN I CONNECT TO THE INTERNET (DIAL UP )
I AM UNABLE TO GET EITHER IE 6 OR FIREFOX
BROWSER TO MAKE A CONNECTION.
IT SEEMS THAT SOMETHING PREVENTS AND OR BLOCKS ACCESS....ANY IDEAS???
RALPH
firewall settings perhaps?
Did it ever work? Are you sure your dial-up is actually connected to your ISP? id10t
yes it worked just fine for a long, long time then "kapluuy"
but I'll try removing the firewall and re start then report back to the both of you....sorry for the delay I ve been kinda under the weather but better now and thanks for your help.
I found the PROBLEM....AFTER MANY HOURS OF LOOKING
finally i went to the control panel then the setting ,then the admin .tools....then to local security setting ...then to lockout threshold ...this was either enabled or disabled i foret which but I made a change there and ....VIOLA ALL IS WELL NOW ...
i GUESS IT 'S A "NEVER GIVE UP SOLUTION"
BUT I DO THANK THOSE WHO DID OFFER SOME HELP.
THANKS
RALPH
