What is your problem? The SATA hard drive should always be master as there is only one connection but you should still be able to access your IDE hard drives.
Not nearly enough information. You need to explain what you were doing, if your present configuration was working. What are your hardware specs or computer model numbers. What service packs are installed on Win2000. What capacity are the hard drives, etc.
Win2000 & XP don't natively support SATA HDDs. You need to install the SATA drivers or you may be able to change the SATA settings in the BIOS. Post the make/model of your motherboard.
I solved the problem after searching the forum, MY BIOS changed the boot order when I added and connected the IDE hard drives and was trying to boot off hard drives without an OS. I just needed to correct the boot order in the BIOS.
