Specs: Windows XP, intel core 2 dou
when i turn on my computer i cant se anything...no desktop icons..no taskbar...no start button..what shud i do....

You have your OS listed as WinXP but you're posting in the Win2000 forum. Which are you asking about - XP or 2000? It seems to be a semi-common problem with XP. Try this:

Did you check the power to your monitor and make sure the cables are connected properly?

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL, start the taskmanager and check, whether explore.exe is runnig.
Sometimes, the explore.exe did not get started.
So you can start the explore.exe from the taskmananger (file / new task / explore.exe).
If you can see your desktop after that procedure, you should check the event log for errors.
