I wonder if the virus actually uninstalled Norton. Look in add & remove programs in the control panel. Run Hijack This & post the log.

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

"I AM PRETTY SURE MY COMPUTER WAS HIT WHEN I ENTERED US GOVERNMENT WEBSITE"

Please turn off the Caps Lock. Is the name of the website a secret?

MY DESKTOP ICONS DO NOT APPEAR IN THEIR ORIGINAL STATUS?"

Please turn off the Caps Lock. What do you mean by "ORIGINAL STATUS"? Have they simply been rearranged?

"I AM USING WINDOWS 2000 XP 32-THE ATTACK ACTUALLY REMOVED NORTON 2012 INTERNET SECURITY FROM MY DESKTOP ICONS"

Please turn off the Caps Lock. There is no "WINDOWS 2000 XP", it's either one or the other. Which do you have? And just because an icon is missing doesn't mean the program has been uninstalled. Why are you using Norton anyway? There are other programs available for free that work just as well if not better.
