Solved Windows Media Player on Windows 10

March 1, 2018 at 17:15:18
Specs: Windows 10
I've been having trouble burning disks lately. The disks will shown as copied but the material, mainly music, does not play all of it. It may play a few songs but not play others at all plus if it does play the songs, it sounds like air is in them or people in a background talking and on the original copy of the song, it will not have that, if that makes sense. Would it help if I just deleted WMP and reloaded it? I seen a thread from back in August 2017 on here but you know how tech stuff can change so fast.

✔ Best Answer
Use CDBurnerXP to burn your discs; use VLC Player to play them.

Thank you. Should I just delete WMP or just leave it as is?

"just leave it as is?"
Leave it as it is, VLC will take over as default.

Thanks everyone for the help. Hard to pick a favorite answer.

Well, Editing this message. The CD burner I downloaded, my virus protector says it's not safe and deletes the files from my computer.

It is Norton.

"virus protector says it's not safe"
That is called a false positive.

I would remove Norton, Windows Defender that comes with W10 will kick in & do a very good job of protecting your comp.

How can I fully remove Norton Antivirus from my system?

I finally got cdburnerxp on to my machine. It's still doing the same thing--plays a few songs and a few will have skips and jumps in them plus sound scratchy.
