Windows 10 Upgrade stuck at 32% for hours?

August 24, 2015 at 18:05:26
Specs: Windows 7
It says it is at 32% and has been stuck there for HOURS! Is there a way to either re-start it or delete it?

Thank you all for your help. At midnight I just turned off my computer and then restarted it. It said there was a failure to install and it reverted to my Windows 7. I'm happy with that for now and will wait awhile to try again.

It may work another time. I had to try the install 3 times on my Windows 7 machine before it worked. I just shut down, as you did, and tried again the next day and again the next day. The third attempt worked like a charm.
On my Win 8.1 machine, it worked the first time.
No clue why.

Sometimes running Windows update twice on the old OS appears to prepare it better for the upgrade.

I had good results installing W10 on two machines, one brand new Windows 8.1 laptop and the other a Windows 8.1 desktop at work and all went well the first try.
