Additional tabs in Firefox won't connect to the sites they are directed to by Bookmarks. The first tab opens to my homepage and will go to any site I specify. New tab opens to my search page (as I have long had it set to do) but does not get to the results. Firefox was working fine until the update two days ago. Is there a setting changed or do I have reinstall? Right now using Edge but prefer Firefox if I can get it working again. I hate to lose all my book marks.

No need to loose all your bookmarks. You can backup your Firefox bookmarks.

In Firefox - Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Export Bookmarks To HTML

take note of where you save the file and if and when you reinstall firefox you can import them.

I got the answer on a Firefox forum. The problem was the MEGA Cloud Storage Extension that got installed. Disabling it cured the problem.
thanks for your information Pappy. I will store that info away.
