Solved why won't my Windows 10 computer run DVD videos?

Specs: Windows10
I can run audio disc but when I try to run or open DVD video disc , I am asked how I would like to open!! None of my "medea players" will work. It just will not open or run DVD playback???

Apparently Windows 10 does not include a player for DVD's. If you upgraded from Windows 7 or 8 with Player then after the upgrade a new player will install but if you did a clean install or purchased a new machine which did not include it then they are not supplying it for you.

As the C/Net link in Fingers' post mentions, VLC Player is probably the best method for playing DVDs---but don't download it from C/Net (they're notorious for including stuff you really don't need in their downloads). Get it directly from the source:

Or if you don't want to waste HDD space, use the PortableApps version that can be installed to/runs from a flash drive (or can also just be copied to a drive):
