I hate it when that happens. You've got to get rid of those pesky firewalls and anti-virus programs. Visit lots of porn sites. Get "free" apps from lots of torrent sites. The temp on the cpu is low, toss a half cup of talcum powder in the case...that'll fix it. And give the Nigerian Crypto Miners access to your GPU.

@retsgtmkb, Hardly a useful solution on a help site even if it is tongue in cheek (I hope it is)

Treacle - Molasses. Verrrry interesting. That would surely slow things down.

enable HPET (High Precision Event Timer) for windows 10, it gave me a 20% GPU performance drop as well as a 5% CPU performance drop & loads of stuttering in games.

To be fair... the Geek Squad in SLC seem to know their stuff when setting up current LED tv sets... At least the one I know of (arrived with proper test signal generator kit etc.) was able to set up (correctly) an LED set so as to present a decent picture - much as we would expect within broadcast environs. Rather than the usual over contrasted, over chroma'd, crushed (brightness set way too low) effect, and with the screen display colour temperature way too high...; which is how the sets come out the box and are invariably left that way...

As regards computers though... well that's often another story by all accounts...

@ trvir

No doubt some of them know their stuff. Its the ones that don't that give them a bad rep.

This thread is just for fun anyways and we mean nobody any harm.
