Specs: Windows 10, AMD FX-8350 4.1GHz / 8 gigs
I was looking in my task manager to close something that was stuck and noticed there were at least 70 svchosts running at the same time. Is this normal?

Yep, that's normal - just checked mine and it was about the same.

Just to add that there is no need to do anything about the svchosts. It is normal for reasons given in my link in #1 and the first link in #2. Just stop looking at them - they are there because it is MSs preferred approach.
