Why does my screen keep all the previous windows at top

December 26, 2019 at 12:45:07
Specs: Windows 10
The top of my screen seems to be holding on to former windows so I can't move my page up to full screen. I can only see half of screen and then the top has all the previous windows I have opened.

To the right of the last tab that is open is a partial arrow head pointing up or down. This arrow head opens or closes the extended tabs you are seeing. Click the up arrow to close it and the down arrow to expand it again.
I see no reason MS included this feature in the Edge browser, it is basically useless and annoying.

Something else you should know, if you close your browser completely before shutting down your computer the tabs will open to your default or home page(s) you have set. If you shut down Windows while Edge is still open, the browser will reopen all prior tabs as they were before shutting down. Sometimes annoying and sometimes convenient depending on the situation and your needs.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

The solution is simple - don't use Edge.

I prefer Firefox personally. At work we need to use Edge for a compatibility issue when working on credit card processing to POS orders so we stay with it to simplify things.

Maybe the new Chromium based Edge will be better, but I'm still sticking with Firefox.
