Why do I have to pay $40 for a Script Error fix that came with Windows 10? Why am I getting a Script Error? I cannot web search anything.

Use a different web browser to avoid script errors.

Firefox is a good alternative:

#1 should do it. Run Windows Update once a week manually because a glitch after one fix will be fixed next time once they realize the problem is there. Run MS Edge browser, not IE (both are available in Windows 10), but Firefox is better.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I've seen it reported that Google Toolbar can cause script errors, so if you have it onboard try uninstalling it.

Other ideas, go to "IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced" and check both Disable script debugging entries (under Browsing heading). Another option (in the same place) is to hit the Reset button. It will keep your Favorites but you might lose your addons. Addons soon come back with usage unless they are specials that you added yourself.

We can't comment on "why the fee" as we are a quite independent forum with volunteer helpers - nothing to do with whoever you are referring to.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
