Why do I have no sound

October 5, 2016 at 15:40:18
Specs: Windows 10
I just recently installed a Radeon RX470 grahpics card into my computer and later on I ended up getting a virus so I factory reset my computer. After the reset I noticed that I no longer have sound. It says it is connected through the HDMI cord but when I go to sound settings it wont let me change anything to make it come through my headset or speakers. I looked if I have realtek on my computer but I think it got deleted from the reset. I dont know what to do to gt sound back.

What is computer make and model number? We don't know if it's a PC or a laptop.

Go to Device Manager (right click option in Start Menu) and look in "Sound video and game controllers". List what is showing under that heading and also let us know if any errors are showing - usually yellow or maybe red symbols.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
