Solved Why do emails about to be sent cause AOL program to restart?

Hewlett-packard / Officejet 6210

Specs: Windows 10
I upgraded to Windows 10 over a month ago.
Since then I have noted that when I write an email and I hit 'send' the whole message disappears and AOL has to be restarted.
This does not happen every time but often enough.
For long emails I compose my message on Words and then copy and paste. If the email disappears, at least i have a copy to use again.
What can I do?
Thank you.

I didn't think anyone used AOL software anymore? It's totally unnecessary. Just use AOL webmail.

Thank you for your suggestion and assuming it solves my problem, how do I transfer my list of favourites on the new webmail, please?

Thank you for your reply.
I resumed my problem in the firrst message.
The idea of webmail was then suggested and I tried. It seems OK but I do not see how to recover my favourite list.
I am now AOL 9.7.
Thank you for further help.
