Since installing Windows 10 on my Dell computer, I have not been able to open the D drive which reads my discs. I don't even see it on my programs.
I saw this listed in another forum. No guarantee it will work, but it's worth a shot. I reworded it for clarity. In Device Manager select View > Show Hidden Devices. If the DVD is shown, uninstall it & then restart the computer. That might fix it.
If after reboot the DVD is still not detected, go back to Device Manager & uninstall everything listed for IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers & then restart the computer again.
After reboot, the DVD drive should be recognized & installed.
If that doesn't work, let us know.
After upgrading to Windows 10, did you go to mfg's web site and reinstall your drivers.
If the manual button does not work, right click on it in Computer and select Eject. Sometimes works. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
