i cannot type in word. has it expired, what do i do please? When i go to word and open a document , it opens, but when i want to edit my a file in word or start a new document, nothing works. I need help

If you have an older version and MSoft isn't supporting it, you should be able to use it still. Look for an option at the top of the page to enable editing. If you have a version of Office 365 it is only good for 1 year. I am not sure what happens after that time.
