Clarification: Windows Media Player 12 is included in clean installs of Windows 10 as well as upgrades to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 or Windows 7. DVD playback isn't included in Windows 10 or Windows 8.1.

There's not necessarily a special place for mp3's but the most likely place is in the Music folder. Do a search for one of the names, or even all mp3's (search *.mp3, that's star dot mp3), or even just plain mp3. See if a Music folder appears in "This PC" - maybe they went there. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
Be aware that windows media player is not included in Windows 10 as a free app. Google for free VLC Media Player. i_Xp/Vista/W7/W10 User

hi ! i might be getting this wrong but I have windows media player in my apps in my new windows 10.Am i being too simplistic ? ta david
I have Windows Media Player on my Win10 too, although I don't actually use it. Mostly I use VLC because it can handle far more file types than anything Windows offers. However that is just a matter of choice. It does not affect the location of your mp3s - they must be there somewhere. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
