This seems to be the answer I needed. Will try to download when the new computer arrives

I believe this would work except am not sure how to just transfer the Picasa program from the old to the new one which have not recieved yet. Thanks for the info. May try this first. Regards message edited by hlsinker

Picasso is a viewer as I recall, and the website confirms it. So presumably a more recent version ought to be happy with any data you used, modified(?) etc. using an earlier version.
