Solved W10 update re-activated disabled start-up items Feem & Skype

Specs: Windows 10, 8gig
A disabled recent Windows update has re-activated disabled start-up apps. I use Feem and Skype and both have the start-up command unchecked in their options and also in CCleaner but they persist in starting. It's no big deal but it is mildly irritating to say the least

They don't start immediately on start up but given a minute or so they are sure to appear. I have read other posts where MS has re-activated start-up apps, always MS apps. Feem is not MS and I have no idea why it should start.

Any suggestions will be appreciated and acknowledged

Regards

I don't use either one of those but sometimes the software itself has the option to run when Windows starts. Check the option in the software to see if you can prevent it from running at startup.

✔ Best Answer
"Windows update has re-activated disabled start-up apps"

Not only that, but if you check the software list, you'll find that any default apps (3D Builder, Alarms & Clocks, Calculator, etc) that were uninstalled have miraculously returned.

Use CCleaner to disable any programs from loading at startup. Likewise, it can be used to uninstall any of the default apps you don't need. But don't be surprised if they return after another Windows Update.

Funny you should say that riider, "Films and TV", "Messaging " and "Money" have returned uninvited, But thank you THX 1138 I have unticked every solitary option I could find but they boot without fail.
