Specs: Windows 7 home premium, 250 CPU
How do I...fix the inevitable of windows 10. I have a PC that's about 5 years old and runs of Microsoft windows 7. I have a Wireless Mouse and Keyboard.
When I ran the windows 10 upgrade I got a screen that was like frozen because my mouse and keyboard would not work.
What can I do next time.?
Plus I've been trying to delete MS update automatic messages from Task Scheduler. But my task scheduler has been Tampered and corrupt.

✔ Best Answer
You might be better off trying it with a PS2 mouse and keyboard if you can get your hands on one.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

You can use any USB hard wired mouse for the upgrade to Windows 10 as you would need if you needed to do any BIOS setting change. After the upgrade you can go back to the wireless mouse.
If you want the Get Windows 10 pop up on your task bar to disappear within Windows 7, to to Programs and Features and then Windows Updates and uninstall KB3035583 and you will not be bothered with the pop up again. You can still get Windows 10 anytime you want by going to: and getting it there.
If you have other issues with your Task Bar then follow the repair instructions JohnW has above.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
