Solved trouble live streaming a radio station

Microsoft Windows xp home edition w/sp2
October 6, 2019 at 16:27:10
Specs: Windows 10 home, AMD / 8GB
When attempting to live stream a radio station that uses windows media player to access the stream I got the following message: "Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server. The server name might not be correct, the server might not be available, or your proxy settings might not be correct." It has always worked before, so I tried uninstalling the latest windows update in case that was the problem, but no luck.

✔ Best Answer
Try the site on another device, the site might just be down for a day or two.
See if the site has a support page.
Try a different browser to reach the site in case its updates are the issue.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I have tried other laptops and another browser with no success. Also clearing cookies and history. Their site doesn't show a support page, so I will try waiting a couple days to see if it gets repaired on their end. Thanks so much for your replies.

Thanks for writing. After a couple weeks of trying this and that with no luck, the station started to work again only differently. It seems that the problem was on their end after all. They no longer use windows media player. Instead, clicking on "listen live" brings up a new web page. Now I am happy again!
