Solved Total Physical Memory is much more than Available Physical

February 19, 2016 at 11:49:17
Specs: Windows 10
I happened to notice that in System Information, my Total Physical Memory (7.47 GB) is a lot higher than the Available Physical Memory (4.97 GB). Can anyone explain this to me? I just want to make sure nothing is wrong. I've updated my bios and am using the latest windows 10 home (64bit) updates. My graphics and everything are also up to date.

Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Page file: 3006MB used, 6051MB available
DirectX Version: 12
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 (Approx. total Memory: 5814 MB)

Thanks

"Total Physical Memory is much more than Available Physical"
It could not be otherwise.

Total physical memory is the total amount of memory that Windows can use. A portion of this will be in active use by the OS and applications. The remainder is available for future use by any application that needs it and is labeled as "Available". This is a subset of total memory and must be smaller than total memory.
