A quick thanks from myself & hubby to the user who suggested reporting the multiple phishing emails we received to the FTC couple wks ago, - just got back a positive reply today about the investigation there is hope to trace them back to the sender. Many Thanks from S Carolina

My own corporation sends us phishing emails all the time. I'd say about once every couple of weeks. Some of them are pretty good (as in they look legit) so we have to be careful.

If we click a link within, we get a message (a slap on the wrist) that it was a phishing simulation. If we do that 3 times in a 6 month period, we have to take an on-line "email security course" to help refresh our memories on the dangers of clicking links from unknown sources.

The proper procedure is to click the "Report" button in our Outlook app and mark the email as suspicious. We will then get an an email response that it was indeed a phishing simulation and that we did good. :-)

We are reminded not to tell our coworkers about the simulation email because that would not give them the opportunity to join in on the fun.
