Solved SLOW SCANING process for Bitdefender AV suite

Acer / Aspire 5738-6969

Specs: Windows 10 Home, 4 GB
I strongly feel that my Aspire 5738 has some software problem(s). Each month, I run either Full or System scan for my own assurance. This AV software is called Bitdefender Internet Security 2018. For past couple of months, such Scanning gets REAL SLOW at 26% until 30%. After finishing 30% it scans normal.

Can some body let me know possible causes for such behavior of this laptop? It'll be really appreciated!

Bitdefender is usually OK. No antivirus detects everything. Malware could cause this so just to be certain run these two freebies as they often unearth what AVs miss:

Run AdwCleaner first

AdwCleaner:
https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcle...
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the program. Run the "Scan", followed by the "Clean & Repair".

MalwareBytes:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/
(use the "Free Download" button rather than the "Buy Now" button).
After the install go to "Settings > Protection". Under Scan Options move the "Scan for rootkits" slider over to On and Run the Threat Scan. Quarantine anything it finds.

If either of them find something please copy/paste the associated logs on here.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I wouldn't be too worried, just because one of many steps takes longer doesn't mean the program is actually slowing down.

Does the program indicate what it is doing while scanning?
Most if not all AV programs do.
