April 22, 2018 at 07:36:14
Specs: Windows 10, 4
Why does the same item show up in the same location in win10 Registry about 500 times ?
After running Registry Cleaner to clean them out they are right back running the Cleaner again.

Use CCleaner-Slim instead. You can do a LOT more with it than just clean the Registry plus it's safe & works well.

Let us have the location and details of the item - it might be something we recognise.

In general you've no need to worry about registry cleaners. There is no performance benefit after running them because they only remove invalid entries which are ignored anyway. Microsoft advise you not to use them on Windows 10 because they don't help and can cause issues:

CCleaner's registry cleaner is one of the most docile ones but see this:

I have used registry cleaners over the years and have had some wreck things, which fortunately I've been able to fix. I don't think they are for the general public, only techies.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

"Eusing Reg Cleaner"
I have used that cleaner & CCleaner, whilst both are very good, I prefer the Wise tools.

Run both of these, in this order.
1: Wise Disk Cleaner ( Run the 1st three tabs, left to right. I use default settings, leave boxes that are unchecked, unchecked ) Reboot when finished.

2: Wise Registry Cleaner ( Only use Registry Cleaner & with default settings. Don't use System Tuneup, that is for Experts, you really have to know what you are doing ) Reboot when finished.
Solution for Wise Registry Cleaner being reported as a PUP and blocked by Antivirus

"Why does the same item show up in the same location in win10 Registry about 500 times ?"
Upload a SS ( screenshot ) of what that is please.
