Using windows10 build 10240 upgraded from each and every single one since the tech preview came out. That means that my account has "hold over" settings from old builds. Currently this account is using a 4x tile grid on the start menu (official default is 3x) and my desktop icons have disappeared. I have created a new account and it seems to be working flawlessly (probably not the right word given win10 is full of bugs, many I just haven't ecountered). So I know creating a new account will fix my problems but I'd like to fix and keep my old account. Does anyone know how to fix those two issues (4x tile grid, no desktop icons) on an account that has been upgraded from earlier builds?

Truth can become lie, but if lies become truth we're in trouble.

Didn't see the show icons menu item, lol me. Guess I must've unticked the option by accident.
