Seems they were wrong previously and now they are correct. I know no way of swapping them around, only moving the whole taskbar.

This shows it all:

The only difference on Win 10 is that they use a white Windows icon for the start button, bottom left, instead of the one shown which is for Win 7.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I'm a tad confused. The Quick Launch buttons are normally on the bottom left and the ones on the right are System Tray icons. The complete taskbar can normally be dragged about the screen (left mouse click then move and release button). However I can't see why a different monitor caused this. Before you do anything see if it is the same on the previous monitor you were using (if it's still available).

Also see this, which includes an automatic fix:

EDIT:
I'm now further confused. Your spec says you have XP (which is what I assumed) but you posted on the Win 10 forum. Which is it?

If it's Win 10 see this instead:

Note also that the System Tray (bottom right) is called the Notification Area on Windows 10.

It is Windows 10, I will change the old spec, my previous monitor, a Samsung died on me so I got a new one, an Acer which did an auto config when I plugged it in & the Quick launch buttons for mail, IE etc are now on the bottom left , they used to be on the right near the time & date, if I try & drag them along they just shoot back to the left, I know you can move them around to top & bottom , it's just that being right landed I would prefer them to be on the right - thanks for your interest..

Quick Launch is supposed to be to the left, next to the Start button; the Notification Area is on the right, next to the clock.
