Programs Crash on Account

October 1, 2020 at 11:56:07
Specs: Windows 10
Windows 10 has an admin account and a standard account. All of the sudden on the standard account, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, Teamviewer, Zoom, they all crash. On the admin, they are fine. I create a fresh new standard user and same thing. Nothing works. I change them to admin accounts, no effect. Everything runs fine on admin.
What could cause the issue where nothing will work even on a new standard user account?

No idea ... but for a start I'd run the usual cleaner apps: ccleaner, Malwarebytes, and Adwcleaner. All have free versions, and are safe to use. Retain any logs generated - in-case of need by others more likely to have a better, in-depth knowledge which may help resolve the problem.

John, I do not see anything in Event Viewer that would related to me opening, for example, documents linked to Notepad. I opened several and closed, in different methods, and nothing in event viewer (on three computers I tried) showed me anything.

"Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, Teamviewer, Zoom, they all crash"
Do they leave a crash screen?
Are you still able to use the comp?
If either, upload a screenshot or photo of the crash screen, to a site of your choosing. Give us the link.

No. The processes just die.
I reverted from previous update from Windows I got last week and it all seems fine for the moment.
