Are you using an onboard video card or an add-in? Have you verified all the cables are connected? Have you tried connecting another monitor to the system?

Assuming you really do mean CPU (Central Processing Unit - a large chip with a fan on it) then I can't see how you know it is running properly without seeing anything on the screen. Do you mean the CPU fan runs, or are you saying it just sounds as if it is running? Without seeing anything it is difficult to make any reliable assumptions about the computer.

Computer make and model number might help. Is it a PC or a laptop?. If it is a laptop try an external monitor first, or another monitor if it is a PC. This will help tell us whether the computer itself is at fault or not.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
