Specs: Windows 64
I'm getting the message "your file history drive was disconnected". Your files will be temporarily copied to your hard drive until you reconnect your File History Drive and run a backup.

My backup drive is a seagate drive and it will not acknowledge it. It says its Disconnected

If you're using a usb connection, try another computer.

✔ Best Answer
I have seen way too many Seagate drives die prematurely.
If it is an external drive it may have been unplugged without 'Safely Removing Hardware' being used, including accidentally being unplugged or the drive or plug being bumped.
See if the drive shows up in Disk Manager and let us know what it says there for the drive.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
